Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 69

Out on Main Street today, Victoria the horse told me that yellow was her lucky color. So she wanted a horse house that's filled with yellow things.

Naturally, I made the exterior of her house as yellow as possible. I also added several newly-unlocked yellow items, including a yellow bench, a yellow rug, and some lemon trees.

Indoors, Victoria insisted on a sunflower stereo and (another) yellow bench. So then I took my turn. Oh what a thing to have done...and it was all yellow. I used the pansy table, tulip dresser, a yellow balloon, some yellow flowers, and a table full of yellow fruit: bananas, lemons, and golden pears.

And of course, I had some fun with the camera once again. If you'd like to visit Victoria's house, go to project code 0394-7725-705.

Day 70

Today, I connected to a "Nintendo Zone" and used the 3DS on the second floor of the office building to check for special design requests. Claude the rabbit showed up at the office! He is a villager that hasn't appeared since the GameCube version of Animal Crossing. His catchphrase is hopalong.

He wanted his house to look like an arcade and a Nintendo game shop! Sounds like a fun place!

Outside, I made a path to the house and lined it with blue hydrangea bushes. I put in a couple of festive Christmas trees (it is December, after all) and a new giant Game Boy. It's actually a TV, and the game show program was on. M-m-mustard!

The giant Game Boy wasn't the only new item unlocked--there are actually ten new Nintendo related items added for this project! That includes a Wii U game shelf, a 3DS game shelf, an amiibo shelf, a Wii U console, and two New 3DS systems. But the 3DS systems are actually just the systems--they're not benches like the DS benches we got as DLC in City Folk. Remember those?

On the back wall, I put Wii U and 3DS game stations as well as the corresponding game shelves for customers to shop for the latest games.

The left wall has the amiibo shelf, the giant Game Boy, and the disk writer. The right wall has the New 3DS systems to play, as well as a few arcade games to make sure the customers have a good time. Who wants to live here?

I uploaded Claude's cool house to the Happy Home Network. If you'd like to stop by, go to project code 0097-7755-790.

Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!
