Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 81

Pango the anteater was outside of Nook's Homes today, and she wanted her own private spa. She just wants to soak in a whirlpool bath all day long!

I gave her a home on the beach with an outdoor whirlpool bath. Pink lillies have been unlocked with this project, so I placed them around the edges of the whirlpool bath area. I also put in a palm tree just because we're on the beach.

For reasons I don't understand, the ancient wall and ancient tile have been unlocked for this project. I never pictured ancient ruins as the place to relax at a spa, but maybe this is Cleopatra's spa or something. As much as I like the ancient floor/tile set, I decided against using it here--it just doesn't seem right. However, the bath tile and bathhouse wall have not been unlocked yet! This would have been the perfect situation for that, but nooooo... Anyway, I decided to use the white tile floor and wall.

The whirlpool bath, of course, is the highlight of the inside of the spa. I also put in some flowers, perfume bottles, a salon mirror stand, a shower, a bath mat, and a beach chair.

And just in case Pango gets hungry, I included...an ant farm. You weren't expecting that, were you?

Day 82

Peanut told me she wanted to live in the land of the free. Apparently that means an American theme, since the Statue of Liberty is unlocked with this project. So I used it, and a bunch of red, white, and blue flowers. I also used my U.S. flag design on her roof.

Indoors, I used the backyard fence and backyard lawn. I decided to make this basically like a picnic, with a bunch of food and treats. Maybe they're celebrating the 4th of July or something. I used my U.S. flag pattern on the curtains and the pine table. I also added more red, white, and blue flowers.

If you'd like to visit Peanut and join the picnic, just go to project code 0999-7734-730.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good new year and I'll see you in 2016!
