Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So some blog entries will cover multiple game days. If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.
Day 93
I chose Gloria the duck as my client today; she wanted a home with alpine furniture. So naturally, I gave her a home up in the mountains. I wouldn't be surprised if she started yodeling at any minute now. Although, I can't imagine a yodeling duck would sound very good. It could be funny, though. I bet it would quack me up.
The geometric rug was unlocked with this project, so I put a couple of them on the ground leading to her house. Purple roses are also available now, so I lined the rugged path with them.
Seven pieces of alpine furniture were unlocked (including the wall-mounted alpine panel), so I used all of them indoors. Gloria also insisted on a Gracie bed for some reason. The customer is always right, as they say, so I wasn't about to stick my neck out to complain about it. A Dala horse was also unlocked, so I included that as well. I also put in a mountain standee, a ceramic hot pot, and some coffee to keep her warm.
Gloria enjoyed her glorious new home. If you'd like to drop by for a visit, hike on over to project code 0691-7771-545.
Day 94
Zucker the octopus was on Main Street today, and he said he wanted to attract a crowd with a street fair right in his house! Since the fair would be indoors, I used some balloons and signs outdoors to grab the attention of any potential fair visitors. Hmm, do you think passersby will notice?
Indoors, I used the newly-unlocked pavement floor and mortar wall. For food and treats, there's a teppanyaki grill, a shaved-ice maker, an ice cream display, and a candy machine. For entertainment, there is a crane game, a pinball machine, a taiko drum, and a mic stand for some karaoke! I also put in a neon sign and a bunch of festival lanterns.
Here's a picture of Zucker singing--and hitting all the notes of the octave. If you'd like to join in the fun, bloop on over to project code 0194-7774-695.
Thanks for stopping by. See you all next time! I hope all your home designs are happy ones!
What instrument would you associate with yodeling?

Maybe Gloria could have a go on the karaoke?

There is a species of duck that can yodel you know. A Long-tailed Duck's call is a yodel.
Nice house designs too, by the way! :)

I like themes like Zucker's that allow you to be really creative, and not having to use specific sets like Gloria's.
When you work with more "free" themes such as Zucker's they usually turn out much better.
