Day 113

Now that it's August, I connected to the Happy Home Network to check for a new challenge. This month's theme is a comfy, cozy lifestyle.

The two required items are the candy house and the tent. Both are repeat items: The candy house was from last October's challenge, and the tent is from May's challenge. I didn't participate in October's challenge, so the candy house was new to me.

I put the candy house outside, and I tried to make Tom Nook's regular house just as tasty by using the sweets exterior, roof, and door. I used a cookie design (one of the default patterns included) to make paths that led to both houses. I also added a fairy-tale streetlight, a couple of orange trees, and some sweet olive bushes.

That left the tent to be used indoors. Making Tom Nook live in a tent sounds like a good idea, since that's what he made us do in New Leaf.

I went with a camping theme in here: I used a meadow vista on the walls, a wildflower floor as the carpet, and prairie sounds as the sound scenery.

I put two bonfires dangerously close to Tom Nook's tent, and I added a whole bunch of propane tanks behind his tent. (Fortunately, I found a dealer up on the hill who sells propane and propane accessories). To add fuel to the fire, I put in a couple of gas pumps as well. It seems that the best way to make this game enjoyable again is to find new ways to murder Tom Nook. For good measure, I added two campfires and a bunch of firewood.
