Day 111
Now that it's June, I made sure to check the Happy Home Network for the new monthly challenge. The theme this time is "a feast for a bear."Two items are unlocked for this challenge, a giant teddy bear and a giant stewpot. However, the giant stewpot is a repeat item from a previous challenge. So some of you may already have it in your catalog. I missed it the first time around, so it's new to me.
The stewpot has stew in it by default, but it can also be customized to display curry, tomato soup, or green liquid. The green liquid might be good for a witch's cauldron...or maybe it's just pea soup.
The bear can also be customized. The default fabric is beige, but you can also make it pink, blue, yellow green, or black. The bear's shirt can also be customized: Choose from a green-stripe shirt (the default), a collared shirt, a puffy jacket, or you can use a clothing fabric or a custom designs. So you can really build a bear!
I made three different bears outside with three different meals.
I used a recipe I got out of my Cook Nook Book to make some pea soup for a king. But all three bears agreed that the nookiness ruined the flavor.
Note: You can't actually drop Tom Nook in the stew. I was just holding him there for the picture...and to give him a scare. ;)
Indoors, I did something a little different. I kept the giant stewpot, but I ditched the big bear. Instead, I put in a bunch of little bears: They're all mama bears and mama polar bears though, since the mamas are the only ones I've unlocked. But I still think this will be enough to feed them all. I just have to add some broth, a potato, and baby you got a stew going.
I added some honeybees to the room just to sweeten the pot--I'm not trying to curry favor with the bears, I promise! In fact, I even added an ingredient I know they won't like. I just have to find some use for this silly raccoon in a crown!
If you'd like to stop by for dinner, the project code is 0295-5715-415. If you'd like to participate in this challenge, be sure to do it by mid-June! And I'll see you all next time!
