Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 78

Frobert was on Main Street today, and he told me that he loves Gracie so much that he wanted a Gracie-mania house. Whatever that means.

The Target Gracie furniture set was unlocked for this project, and I used some small Gracie rugs to lead visitors to Frobert's house. I also used some posh display rugs in the shape of a giraffe, to honor Gracie. Not that Gracie deserves to be honored, but the customer is always right, as they say. The "giraffe" appears to be eating from the lone tree on the property.

Indoors, I used the new Gracie wallpaper, natural wood floor, and Gracie rug. I also used giraffe curtains on the windows. I put in the full Gracie furniture set, along with the new miniature car and the not-so-new giraffe ruler. I also stuck my neck out and placed Gracie's pic and Frobert's pic side-by-side on the table.

Day 79

I met Sly the gator outside today, and he wanted to play hide-and-seek in a jungle themed house. I picked out a rainy location and added in a bunch of trees.

Indoors, I used the jungle wall, jungle floor, jungle-camo curtains, and jungle sounds as the sound scenery. For furniture, Sly insisted on a tree standee and a grass standee. I also used the other standees I have available, the hedge and mountain standees. I then added in the only newly-unlocked piece of furniture: Cornstalks. Even in the jungle, Sly needs to sleep--so I gave him a hammock. And of course, I put in a bunch of plants.

For the finishing touch, I added a tribal mask that just might give Sly nightmares. Welcome to the jungle, pal.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy holidays, everyone! I'll see you all next time!

I wish that you could customize the Gracie furniture set to red & white colors so it looks like Target's logo馃敶

The jungle house is probably one of your most creative designs yet.
It might've looked better without windows, though.

I REALLY like Sly's house, I think that has to be one of the best you've done so far! It showed the jungle theme so well! Frobert has to be one of my favourites, because the frogs are my favourite villager species, strangely. I really like the alligators and cats as well though... I can't decide. Jeff, what's your favourite villager species?

Jeff (mod) 路 Dec 24, 2015

@Finlay: Thanks! Hmm, favorite species? Not sure...maybe dogs. Although there are a lot of cats that I like, too.

Beth 路 Dec 24, 2015

Love the houses! Especially the jungle one. Very creative!

@Beth: Thank you!
