Nintendo has provided me with an advance copy of Disney Magical World, which is now available for Nintendo 3DS. It has some gameplay similarities to Animal Crossing, while also featuring over 60 Disney characters. I'll be writing about the game and providing regular updates as I progress through the game. Day 28: 100 Stickers
I held a Minnie themed party (with 8 combos, two of which were rare combos), and Mickey and Minnie both showed up. But more importantly, Minnie gave me the Minnie star medal, which I needed in order to make the Minnie star wand. I'm trying to collect all of the secret wands.
Thanks, Minnie-me.
The next time my party meter filled up, I held an Alice in Wonderland themed party. The Mad Hatter and March Hare showed up. How did they know it was my unbirthday?
We've all gone mad.
The next time around, the Club Card Soldier and the Hearts Card Soldier showed up to my party.
These guys aren't playing with a full deck.
Remember how
Miss Teri told me something special would happen if you take a picture while you're wearing sparkles? Looking at these last two pictures, I've finally figured it out. It uses the design of those sparkles as a border around the picture. I rarely wear sparkles, so I never caught on until now.
You can probably tell I'm holding a lot of parties lately. In between, I'm also doing some farming and re-playing action stages to look for certain items. But my focus right now is getting the medals at the cafe so I can make all of the secret wands. I've been trying for the Alice medal, which is why I keep getting characters from Wonderland. The Chesire Cat was the next character to visit.
Thanks, I think.
As you may already know, you get an outfit or item for every third cafe you visit (or more specifically, for every third "nice" you get when speaking to cafe owners). I've been visiting cafes for that purpose from time to time, and recently I've received three suits of armor and two balloonist uniforms. But tonight, my 75th "nice" earned me this nice crown. This is the final reward you get for visiting cafes.
This is better than the crown I got at Burger King!
Even though some of the cafe-visiting rewards include pairs of shoes, not all of them do. And some of them include shoes, but they don't count towards the 100 you need for the shoe sticker. However, I checked to see how close I was to completing the collection, and I saw I only needed five more pairs of shoes! So I went to Daisy's boutique and looked through the choices. I tried making some color variations of Easter bunny pumps that didn't require any rare items and weren't very costly, and to my surprise, they counted! So I scored my 100th pair of shoes and earned my 100th and final sticker!
Mission accomplished.
Getting that 100th sticker opens up something new at the wizard's tower, so I went to see what it was! I had no idea what to expect. As I went to unlock the mystery reward, Yen Sid started talking about how helpful I've been around Castleton. Mickey Mouse just happened to walk in then too, and we all posed for a commemorative photo.
Nobody beats the wizard.
I then received a Fantasia-themed magician apprentice hat, magician apprentice robe, and magician shoes.
Either my head is huge or this hat's a bit small.
I was originally hoping to collect all of the secret wands before buying the Pirates of the Caribbean DLC, but earning the medals at the cafe is a slow, tedious process. So unless my cafe luck improves relatively soon, the next blog update will likely include my first impressions of the new Pirates of the Caribbean world! So stick around for that, and I'll see you next time!
