Entry 129: Rosalina Arrives

Villager and Elly recently made "funny" faces for me, but they just looked weird...not exactly funny. And Villager's head looks like a pear. Maybe he can be his own town fruit.

On the Mii News, I saw that Tobias started up his own bakery. I didn't exactly want to see Tobias' buns, but there they were...for the world to see. They're called Funke Buns, and I don't recommend putting them anywhere near your mouth.

On September 7th, Kevin Love celebrated his 31st birthday. Darth Vader, Bomberman, the Swedish Chef, and Velma attended his party.

Mr. Saturn was the latest islander to make a funny face for me, and it made him look like an ugly, big-headed baby.

Batman told me that he had feelings for Miss Piggy, and he asked her out in the park.

But Miss Piggy turned him down.

In the park, I found Kevin Love and Charlie Brown both napping on a bench. And they were both wearing bicycle helmets for some reason.

Yesterday, I made a new Mii. Say hello to my newest islander, Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy!

I gave her a princess outfit to wear, and the galactic interior for her apartment. So she should have plenty of space. If you'd like to add her to your island, you can scan her from my QR codes page.

Up on the observation tower, Squishy asked out Luigi as a plane passed overhead.

Squishy sang a song for Luigi, but he still turned her down.

Ann told me she was missing Tobias, and she wanted to get back together with him. Tobias thought about it, but ultimately, he had Xavier tell Ann that he wasn't interested. It's been a tough month for love connections on Wolf Bobs Island.

Xavier, to Ann: It doesn't look like Tobias is interested in going out with you.

Out of curiosity, I checked out the rankimgs board. That's something I haven't done in a long time. On the romance ranking, I was surprised to see Jeff and Elly listed as the #8 potential couple.

7: Mr. Bean and Squishy: 53%. 8: Jeff and Elly: 44%.

But then again, only twelve potential couples were listed, so I guess being 8 out of 12 isn't all that great. Conan and Squishy were ranked number one, and number two was Conan and Maeby. :P

The splurge ranking lists the islanders that I've spent the most money on. Elly was #1, followed by Zoidberg, Alien, and Mario. But the surprising thing is that Rosalina was already #7 on the list! That's primarily because that galactic interior cost me an astronomical amount of money...$5,000!

There were no marriages or divorces since last time, so there are still seven married couples on the island. My Quality of Life rating is up to 216 stars.

I've been playing less of the game lately. And when I do play, it seems like not much has been happening. That's why this entry is being posted later than usual. It's also why I'm no longer committing to monthly blog entries. There will still be new entries occasionally, but there will no longer be a set schedule. It’s sad to see that people are not really playing the game very much any more, I think people are enjoying it less, but I really hope they don’t discontinue Tomodachi Life.

On my island, Rosalina married and eventually divorced Waluigi, and has since remarried. Recently, Waluigi wanted to get back together with Rosalina. Her new husband gave Waluigi the bad news, but for some reason the husband said he and Rosalina were "going out", not married (and they are still married; their house is intact as of this writing).

This is why I wish this game had holidays and festivals a la "Animal Crossing", not just occasional decorations in the shops/employees (resident or blockhead) dressed in whatever outfits besides the uniform and daily "events" that never change.

Not exactly rooting for Rosalina and Darth Vader to get together (the last thing StreetPass needs is more kids with eyeballs in their chins), but they are both space natives and Vader was married to Peach once upon a time, so...
