Each haircut costs 3,000 bells, so make sure you have the money before you head to the salon. To get the style you want, use the following choices, beginning with the question where she asks what style you're going for. (Scroll down for the hair color chart.)
Note: Some questions have different choices for boys and girls. If the box below has two options, the top option is for boys, and the bottom option is for girls.

Note: If you go more than two weeks without playing the game, your hairstyle will be replaced with bedhead. It can only be removed with another trip to the salon.

Opposite Gender Hairstyles
After receiving 15 haircuts, you will be able to choose hairstyles of the opposite gender starting with your 16th haircut. When Harriet asks if you want it, choose the positive option ("R-really?" or "Yeah, maybe...") for the opposite gender styles. If you want to stick with your current gender styles, choose the negative option ("Cut it out!" or "NO!").Hair Color Chart
There are eight choices for hair colors: Four "warm" options and four "cool" options. The following chart shows them all:

Mii Makeovers
By choosing the "makeover" option at Shampoodle, you can choose a Mii mask for a price of 3,000 bells (the same cost as a hairstyle). You can only carry one Mii mask at a time, but you can put it on or take it off at any time by going to your Designs page and clicking the Mii. Unfortunately, you can not wear hats or accessories while wearing a Mii mask.
